Honeybee Harvest was first established in 1998. Beekeeping was a way of farming in a small way with minimal land requirements and allowed me to practice what my Grandfather, Archie Maker, had done for a living in upstate New York. A hobby eventually grew into a small business, which both of my sons as well as my wife Natalie came to help with. The business continues today as a sideline which allows for close interaction with the people around us as well as the bees.

Owner-Bee Keeper

Growing up in upstate New York on a farm brought it's own challenges but also rewards. Bee farming in North Carolina was unexpected but was something that seemed to be a natural step in the process. Starting in 1998 with 2 hives, Honeybee Harvest has continued to grow and be a part of the community providing the highest quality honey and beeswax products. Hard work, long hours and getting stung are part of the everyday adventure at Honeybee harvest. Though we are small in size, it takes year round planning and execution to maintain all that we provide for our wonderful friends that have helped us become what we are today.

Natalie Bower

We strive to maintain between 35 an 50 hives here at Honeybee Harvest. Over the years we have maintained between 2 and 100 hives. This experience has taught us that our opimal number is somewhere in between. Natalie and I devote many hours in addition to our other responsibilities in order to maintain healthy, well balanced, stress free bees.

Honeybee Harvest will not be visiting the Piedmont Triad Farmers market during the 2019 operating season.

Due to another year of severe losses and limited honey production we will not be able to serve you.

We look forward to the 2020 season!
